Emerald Lake Locations and Main Unlocks
The complete Emerald Lake lookup table below lists its cabins, crates, challenge trails, recovery, viewpoints, Mechanic and exit, alongside their rewards and uses. For the main unlocks, complete Hermit Trail for The Burro, finish Windy Joe Trail for The Trail Burner, and reach Ferry to the Ridge to open Gimli Ridge.
Emerald Lake is available from the start in The Valhallas - Canada. The area measures 4 x 4 km, and Pavilion Lake Cabin is its starting cabin. Start your exploration there, then use discovered cabins to reveal nearby points of interest and establish more fast travel options.
Complete Emerald Lake Location and Reward Table
Use the location names to find a particular stop or choose an activity by its reward. The recovery has a separate destination marker, so check both ends before beginning that trip. Find the Mechanic and Open More of the Map
Cabins reveal nearby points of interest and unlock fast travel points. They also repair your vehicle and restore equipped tools. Use those stops while exploring outward from Pavilion Lake Cabin, then visit Crazy Günther when you want to prepare a different vehicle or loadout.
- Complete the tutorial to learn the driving, winch and map basics before continuing your Emerald Lake exploration.
- Open the area map with M on keyboard, View on an Xbox controller or Create on a PlayStation controller to inspect your surroundings.
- Reach another cabin to reveal nearby points of interest and gain a discovered location you can select for a return trip.
- Visit Crazy Günther’s Mechanic, identified by its icon on the area map, to access vehicle changes, upgrades and customization.
- Choose your equipped tools in the Mechanic’s Tools menu so your next outing begins with the equipment you intend to use.
Choose and Follow an Emerald Lake Challenge Trail
Choose the unlock you want before committing to a challenge trail. Use the reward table to keep that goal clear, and plan your approach around the terrain you can manage. If an attempt becomes awkward, pause and reassess your approach before pushing farther.
- Pick Hermit Trail for The Burro, Windy Joe Trail for The Trail Burner, or Elizabeth Oath Trail for the Kayaks cosmetics.
- Place a map pin with the left mouse button, A on an Xbox controller or Cross on a PlayStation controller to mark your next destination.
- Engage Low Range when rough ground or an uphill section leaves your vehicle struggling, gaining traction for the difficult stretch.
- Use the manual winch when you need finer control over your vehicle’s attachment point and the object you want to pull toward.

Restart the challenge trail from the pause menu if an attempt goes badly; your vehicle and equipment return to their condition at the trail’s start.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
- Complete your chosen trail to receive the matching vehicle or cosmetic reward listed in the Emerald Lake table.
Leave Emerald Lake for Gimli Ridge
Ferry to the Ridge is Emerald Lake’s exit to Gimli Ridge. Reaching that exit opens the next area, and the arrival portal there is called Ferry to the Mountain. When traveling with friends, everyone must be close to the portal before the group can pass through.
- Reach Ferry to the Ridge in Emerald Lake to open access to Gimli Ridge.
- Proceed through the portal, with your friends nearby if playing together, to arrive at Ferry to the Mountain in Gimli Ridge.
