Reach Services and Find Overlooked Locations
- Reach Ferry to the Ridge in Emerald Lake to unlock Gimli Ridge.
- Travel through Ferry to the Ridge to arrive at Ferry to the Mountain in Gimli Ridge.
- Visit Sunset Landing Cabin, the area’s starting cabin, for repairs, restored equipped tools and a fast-travel checkpoint.
- Open the map with M on keyboard, View on an Xbox controller or Create on a PlayStation controller to review the surrounding icons.
- Place a map pin at the destination you want to investigate, using the left mouse button, A on Xbox or Cross on PlayStation. Use it to keep your next objective clear while choosing an approach.
- Reach another cabin from the table to reveal nearby points of interest and unlock another fast-travel destination. Prioritize these stops when you are trying to fill gaps in your exploration.
- Visit Crazy Günther to change vehicles, buy upgrades, customize your vehicle or select tools. His Mechanic icon also serves as a respawn destination on the area map.
- Approach a crate to discover its contents. Compare the reward with the table when keeping track of similar accessories or different colors.
- Bring a recovery’s damaged vehicle to its matching end point to finish the activity. Match Glasir Wood Recovery or Nerthus Marsh Recovery to the end marker bearing the same name.
- Select a discovered cabin on the map to respawn if you cannot recover your vehicle with the tools available. This provides a way back when an outing leaves you stuck.
Continue to Asgard Mountain or Return to Emerald Lake
Use Ferry to the Mountain when you want to return to Emerald Lake. To continue through Canada, reach Tunnel to Asgard Mountain; reaching this exit opens Asgard Mountain, where the arrival connection is called Tunnel to Gimli Ridge. In co-op, all players must be close to the portal before traveling through it.
If you joined a co-op room in an area you had not unlocked, that session cannot unlock new areas. Your progress is still saved. Keep this condition in mind when your main goal is opening the next area.
