Complete Elvis Rim Trail to Unlock The Polyana

Complete Elvis Rim Trail in Gimli Ridge to unlock The Polyana in Over the Hill. Its first-clear reward is The Polyana and 40 Pebbles.

The Polyana is earned through the trail, so focus on reaching and completing that challenge before planning upgrades. Once it is unlocked, visit the Mechanic to change vehicles. Try it on familiar ground before deciding how much of your upgrade budget to spend.

02

Reach Gimli Ridge From Emerald Lake

Gimli Ridge is Canada's second area, and Elvis Rim Trail is located there. Emerald Lake is available from the start, and reaching its Ferry to the Ridge portal opens Gimli Ridge. If you already have Gimli Ridge open, head there and concentrate on finding the named trail.

Use cabins as preparation stops while exploring toward the challenge. Reaching a cabin repairs your vehicle, restores equipped tools, reveals nearby points of interest and unlocks a fast travel point. Keep a discovered cabin in mind as somewhere to return if the approach goes badly.

03

Follow the Unlock Route

  1. Reach Ferry to the Ridge in Emerald Lake to open access to Gimli Ridge.
  2. Travel through the ferry portal to enter Gimli Ridge, arriving at Ferry to the Mountain.
  3. Locate Elvis Rim Trail in Gimli Ridge so you are attempting the challenge that awards The Polyana.
  4. Complete Elvis Rim Trail to unlock The Polyana and receive its first-clear reward of 40 Pebbles.
  5. Select The Polyana at the Mechanic to change into your newly unlocked vehicle.

Elvis Rim Trail Checkpoints and Rewards

Elvis Rim Trail has 11 checkpoints, approximately 672 metres of mapped route and 53 metres of ascent. Use those figures to judge the scale of the outing, then take the attempt at a pace that lets you read the terrain. If an obstacle repeatedly stops you, reconsider your approach before forcing the same line again.

Use Low Range on rough terrain or uphill to gain traction, then return to High Range on regular terrain for speed. If you become stuck, use your equipped tools or a suitable winch anchor to attempt recovery. Selecting a discovered cabin on the map is the fallback when your tools cannot get you moving.

Elvis Rim Trail pays 8 Pebbles per repeat completion. The vehicle unlock does not repeat, so later runs are a way to earn upgrade currency after you have The Polyana. Consider returning if you enjoy the route and can finish it reliably.

The Polyana's Class and Base Stats

The Polyana belongs to the Trail class. Its relatively small wheels and suspension travel are useful comparison points when choosing where to spend Pebbles. Give it a drive before deciding which characteristics you want to improve.

OptionDetails
Vehicle classTrail
Mass1,600 kg
Base speed limit27 km/h
Winch pull25,000 N
Wheel radius0.35 metres
Suspension travel0.40 metres

The stock engine has 100 Nm of peak torque. Engine tier 2 raises that figure to 106 Nm, while tier 3 reaches 112 Nm. Compare those increases with your other upgrade needs before committing your Pebbles to engine power.

06

Plan Your Pebbles Before Upgrading

Upgrades are purchased for each vehicle separately, and each stage requires the preceding stage on that vehicle. Budget The Polyana separately from improvements you have already bought for another vehicle. A useful starting point is to identify what interrupts your driving most often, then spend against that problem.

Fully upgrading The Polyana costs 675 Pebbles. Engine Stage 2 costs 25 Pebbles, and Engine Stage 3 costs 50 Pebbles. Treat the full upgrade total as a longer-term budget and choose your next purchase after trying the vehicle.

Tire upgrades increase grip, while suspension upgrades increase suspension height. Winch upgrades extend its range, and Tool Slot upgrades let you carry more tools. If your outings keep ending in recovery attempts, consider those options alongside engine power when choosing your next improvement.

Engine upgrades increase power and allow a higher top speed. Protection improves damage resistance, while water resistance increases the water depth and time the engine can withstand before flooding. Match your spending to the trips you want to take, and reassess after each purchase before buying further upgrades.
