Complete Ukhtayn Route to Unlock The Tinny
Complete Ukhtayn Route in Aurès Mountains, Algeria, to unlock The Tinny in Over the Hill. Aurès Mountains is Algeria's second area, reached from Tassili n'Ajjer Desert, and the trail's initial rewards include The Tinny and 25 Pebbles.
Reach Aurès Mountains Through the Desert
Begin your approach in Tassili n'Ajjer Desert. This starting area of Algeria is available from the beginning, so you can work toward the mountain entrance through that region. Reaching its exit portal opens Aurès Mountains.
The exit you want is named Tunnel to the Aurès Mountains. It connects Tassili n'Ajjer Desert to Aurès Mountains, where the arrival portal is called Tunnel to the Desert. Keep those names in mind when checking which passage leads toward the unlock.
Follow the Unlock Route
- Reach the Tunnel to the Aurès Mountains in Tassili n'Ajjer Desert. Discovering this exit opens Aurès Mountains, giving you access to the area containing The Tinny's unlock trail.
- Travel through the tunnel into Aurès Mountains. You arrive at Tunnel to the Desert, the return connection to Tassili n'Ajjer Desert.
- Find Ukhtayn Route in Aurès Mountains. This is the named challenge trail that awards The Tinny, so check the trail name before committing to an attempt.
- Complete Ukhtayn Route to unlock The Tinny. The initial trail reward lists the vehicle alongside 25 Pebbles.
- Visit the Mechanic and choose The Tinny to start driving it. The Mechanic lets you change vehicles, customize them and select the tools you want to carry.
Prepare for the Ukhtayn Route Attempt
Ukhtayn Route contains 31 checkpoints along an approximately 1,828-metre reference route, with 158 metres of ascent. Treat it as a driving objective worth preparing for. Give yourself room to assess each obstacle instead of rushing toward the finish.
Visit a cabin before setting out if your vehicle needs attention. Cabins repair your vehicle, restore equipped tools, reveal nearby points of interest and provide fast travel points. At the Mechanic, check your equipped tools before heading back into the mountains.
Use Low Range when your vehicle struggles on slopes or rough terrain, then return to High Range on regular ground. The default range-switch input is Tab on keyboard, X on an Xbox controller or Square on a PlayStation controller. If you have changed your bindings, check the control settings before the attempt.
Compare The Tinny With Other Small Trail Vehicles
The Tinny is a Trail-class vehicle weighing 1,600 kg, with a base speed limit of 27 km/h and 25,000 N of winch pull. Its wheel radius is 0.40 metres and its suspension travel is 0.55 metres. These figures closely match several smaller Trail vehicles in class-level performance.
Its engine also shares the same stock and highest listed peak-torque figures with Das Wombat, The Brick and The Polyana. The comparison below pairs those engine figures with each vehicle's unlock trail. Use it to choose which vehicle you want to pursue next.
| Vehicle | Details |
|---|---|
| The Tinny | Unlock through Ukhtayn Route in Aurès Mountains. Peak torque is 100 Nm at engine tier 1 and 112 Nm at tier 3. |

After Unlocking The Tinny
- Can I repeat Ukhtayn Route for more rewards?
- Yes. Ukhtayn Route has a repeat reward of 5 Pebbles per completion. The first-time vehicle unlock does not repeat, so further finishes are a way to earn Pebbles after acquiring The Tinny.
- Will my current vehicle's upgrades transfer to The Tinny?
- No. Vehicle upgrades are independent, so plan The Tinny's upgrades separately from your current vehicle. Try it before spending heavily, then choose improvements around the problems you encounter while driving.
