Unlock The Brick at Bridal Veil Falls Climb
Complete Bridal Veil Falls Climb in Gimli Ridge to unlock The Brick in Over the Hill. Try its handling before spending heavily: upgrades belong to each vehicle separately, so invest when you want to keep driving it on the terrain ahead.
Reach Gimli Ridge and Earn the Vehicle
- Reach Ferry to the Ridge in Emerald Lake to open access to Gimli Ridge.
- Travel through the ferry portal to enter Gimli Ridge, arriving at Ferry to the Mountain.
- Complete Bridal Veil Falls Climb in Gimli Ridge to unlock The Brick and earn its one-time reward of 25 Pebbles.
Bridal Veil Falls Climb has 30 checkpoints along an approximately 1,429-metre mapped route, with 210 metres of ascent. Give yourself room to line up an approach before committing to a difficult section. Aim for a steady finish, and pause to reassess whenever an approach feels awkward.
The Brick's Chassis, Steering and Drivetrain
The Brick updates The Ding with a curved windshield, more interior room and nicer seats. Its Trail-class mass and winch specifications are shared with the starting vehicles. Take that as a reason to try its character and handling before deciding how much of your upgrade budget it deserves.
| Option | Details |
|---|---|
| Class and country | Trail; Japan |
| Mass | 1,600 kg |
| Base speed limit | 27 km/h |
| Winch force | 25,000 N |
| Wheel radius | 0.40 metres |
| Suspension travel | 55 cm |
| Maximum steering angle | 38° |
| Brake torque | 4,000 Nm |
| Gear count | 2 gears |
| Tire grip | Forward grip: 1.10; cornering grip: 1.24 |
| Center differential ratio | 1 |
Engine Tiers and the Cost of More Power
| Tier | Details |
|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 100 Nm peak torque; 750 idle RPM, 2,750 peak RPM and 5,000 maximum RPM. |
| Tier 2 | 106 Nm peak torque; 750 idle RPM, 2,750 peak RPM and 5,000 maximum RPM. |
| Tier 3 | 112 Nm peak torque; 750 idle RPM, 2,750 peak RPM and 5,000 maximum RPM. |
Engine Stage 2 costs 25 Pebbles, and Engine Stage 3 costs 50 Pebbles. Buy the earlier stage before the later stage on the same vehicle. Choose engine power when that is the improvement you want; if your main frustration is grip or recovery, consider addressing that first.
Match Available Upgrades to Your Next Trip
| Upgrade | Details |
|---|---|
| Engine Stage 2 and Engine Stage 3 | Increase engine power and reach a higher top speed. |
| Protection Stage 2 and Protection Stage 3 | Increase damage resistance. |
| Suspension Level 2 and Suspension Level 3 | Increase suspension height. |
| Tires Stage 2 and Tires Stage 3 | Increase tire grip. |
| Tool slot | Allow more tools to be carried on the vehicle. |
| Water Resistance 2 and Water Resistance 3 | Increase the water depth and time the engine can withstand before flooding. |
| Winch Stage 2, Winch Stage 3 and Winch Stage 4 | Increase winch range. |
For rough-ground exploration, consider tires when traction is the problem and suspension when you want more height. If recovery options feel restrictive, weigh winch range against carrying more tools. Let the obstacles you actually encounter decide your next purchase, rather than buying every available improvement immediately.
Taking The Brick from stock through all its performance-upgrade stages costs 675 Pebbles. Those upgrades are independent of the upgrades on your other vehicles. Treat full completion as a longer-term choice after you have decided that you enjoy driving The Brick.
Decide Whether The Brick Deserves Your Pebbles
- Select The Brick at the Mechanic so you can try the newly unlocked vehicle before choosing upgrades.
- Drive a familiar route to judge whether you enjoy its steering, pace and behavior on terrain you already understand.
- Choose an upgrade that addresses the difficulty you noticed, using the effects above to guide your spending.
- Revisit the familiar route to assess the change before committing more of your budget to the vehicle.
Before spending to solve a climbing problem, try Low Range on rough terrain or uphill sections. Switch back to High Range on regular terrain when you want more speed. This gives you a useful starting point for judging what you want from an upgrade.
You can earn more upgrade currency after the unlock: Bridal Veil Falls Climb has a repeat reward of 5 Pebbles. The developers fixed challenge trails and recovery missions failing to pay on subsequent completions. Choose a route you can finish comfortably, and compare the effort with how much you want the next upgrade.
Customize The Brick at the Mechanic
The Mechanic also lets you customize the vehicle and choose its equipped tools. Regular liveries are free there, so you can give The Brick a look you enjoy while deciding on performance upgrades. Start with the appearance you prefer, then return to your upgrade choices after driving it.
